Part of a wider development proposed by Miller Homes for 720 new-build homes and associated amenities including an urban park and various leisure facilities, the new single-storey school building will be completed by September 2019.
It will house nine light and spacious classrooms, a hall, and a digital technology area and a learning resource centre equipped with the latest IT. Outside, there will be play spaces, habitat areas, a multi-use games area and a football pitch, and parking.
The architects are Birmingham-based firm Glancy Nicholls Architects, who are working to ensure that the construction materials and design fit in with the village buildings and the local environment.
Below are images of the architect's drawing, the building plan and a concept of what the building will look like, as well as an indication of how we will use the space inside. Images of the building work progression can be found here.
