Each term parents and carers are invited to learn alongside the children. The idea is that parents and children work together to complete activities. Learning and fun at the same time!
Learning to Read Alongside
During Autumn Term parents attended a reading focused workshop. Supporting and promoting reading can be tricky when parents learnt to read in a different way to how children do today. This workshop aimed to put parents at ease by exposing them to a variety of phonic linked games and activities. We also wanted to promote the reciprocal power of reading together and the impact this can have on learning. Reading is an activity that gives back more than the effort you put in! It was lovely to see so many of our parents attend and join in with learning. We hope it inspired you to get interested in reading!
