Ukulele in Team Badgers
This week in Music, Team Badgers have continued their ukulele practice and playing different strings seperately and simultaneously. They practiced this today to the song "Stay with Me". Well done Badgers!
Geography in Rabbits!
In Geography, Rabbits have learnt what it is like to live in a city. We have explored our local environment and have distinguished between physical and human features of Lichfield and Birmingham.
Numbers to 20 in Rabbits!
Rabbits have been exploring numbers between 11-20. They have learnt skills such as 'making ten' and counting on to find the total amount. They have also used counters and tens frames to represent their '-teen' number.
English in Rabbits!
Rabbits have enjoyed learning a new adventure story, Lost and Found. They loved creating their own versions of the story by changing the characters. They have also learnt to take ownership of their stories and have 'edited and polished' (using a red pen) the writing that they had produced. Well…
French in Space in Team Starlings!
No only are Team Starlings amazing scientists who can tell you all about space, they can now tell you in French! We have enjoyed learning lots of new vocabulary this week and look forward to learning even more French words about our Solar System.
Geographical Graphs in Team Starlings!
This week in Geography, we have been looking at the climate in the Gobi Desert, including how much rainfall there is across the year, as well as how much the temperature varies. We were very surprised by our research and enjoyed plotting our data onto this graph!
Double Digit Multiplication in Team Starlings!
This week in maths, we have been multiplying 2-digit numbers by 2-giti numbers. Even though this has been tricky, Team Starlings have shown great perseverance and are making some super progress with their multiplication!
Science in Team Badgers
This week, we have been learning all about keeping a balanced diet in science and the changes to scientific knowledge about nutrition. Children identified the jobs that require knowledge about nutrition, including a catering supervisor and a sports nutritionist.
English in Orchard
This week in English we have focused on identifying and using modal verbs and adverbs to show possibility. We have then used these to write sentences about the Windrush.
PSHE in Orchard
Orchard have been learning all about celebrating difference this half term. So far we have considered why the word normal means different things to different people and thought about why it is positive to be an individual.
Literacy in Sunflowers
The children have been practicing their formation and blending of CVC words such as pig and cat.
They were able to complete this task by sounding out the sounds.
C&L in Daisies
LO: i can recognise and point/ get objects if i am asked abiut them.
This week the children have been working on their listening skills. The Daisies have been using this new skill when they are asked to tidy up, find and collect their coats/ water bottles.
