This week in Team Badgers we have looked at witnessing bullying and what we can do about it. We listened to a story about Mark who was being bullied by a girl in his class, who was then encouraging the rest of the class to join in. The story told us the impact this was having on Mark on both his school life and home life. We learnt from the story about how his friend, who witnessed this, encouraged him to get help from his teacher. We discussed the excuse of "It was just a game" or "We were only joking" and how it is not a joke or a silly game to the person who is being hurt by the actions. As a class, we thought about what we could do to help someone if we knew they were being bullied. We recorded this as a class.
