In writing this term, we have been looking at the story of Odysseus. This week, we learnt about his adventures again the Sirens. We wrote instructions using conjunctions, about how Odysseus's sailors were able to avoid falling into the Sirens' trap. Then, we looked at Margaret Atwood's poem Siren Song. We unpicked the poem, thinking about what each part meant. We then wrote a few verses of our own, from the point of view of the Sirens and how they would have reacted to Odysseus and his men getting away. This topic has really inspired us and we are looking forward to writing our own Greek myths soon.
