We have been learning about the Easter story in RE. We are reenacting the different parts of Easter ready for our Easter Show at the end of March. Here we have just learnt about 'Palm Sunday'. 

In our science lesson we have been exploring how sounds are heard through different mediums. We have also been researching how whales and dolphins communicate underwater.

In Forest School we have been developing our confidence in using a range of apparatus to develop our core strength and Gross Motor Skills. We had so much fun climing. 

This week in our art session we have been exploring how to draw using tone to create a 3D effect. We have been taking the time to choose which sketching pencils to use to create shadows.

Team Badgers are continuing to become fabulous at French! The children have been practising their numbers and we have used these in games of bingo in class as well as using them in other lessons.

This week in our maths lessons we have started a new unit about graphs. We have focused on drawing the graphs with a pencil and a ruler and making sure that they are plotted in the correct place. We have also been practicing reading the graphs to retrieve information.

In music this half term, we have been learning the 'Shosholoza,' a West African song that is traditionally sung in a round. We have enjoyed learning the words, singing different parts, practising chords on the glockenspiels, and even leaning some traditional dance moves to enhance our performance!…

In DT, we have been building 'Truss' bridges, using saws to cut wood to a particular length, glue guns to stick pieces together, and cardboard triangles to reinforce the structure. We have had a lot of fun making our bridges together, and have learnt a lot of new practical skills! 

Team Meadow were transfered to a Victorian classroom in History to learn how life at school was different for Victorian children.
